Terms of use
Life Moments Limited
Version 1.0 | Last updated: 7th Sept 2026
1. Introduction
These terms explain the basis on which you can use our website and our products. Please read them, because they affect your legal rights.
By using our website or our products you agree to these terms. If you do not agree to them, please stop using them.
We may refer to ourselves as "we", "us" or "our". "You" means anyone using our website or products, other than our own employees and contractors acting in that capacity.
Who we are
Life Moments Limited is a company incorporated in England and Wales with registered number 11509188. Our registered address is 4th Floor Tuition House, 27-37 St George's Road, Wimbledon, London, SW19 4EU. Our VAT number is 302 0347 65.
You can contact us at dpo@life-moments.co.uk.
2. Which terms apply to you
This matters, because we do two different things.
Where these terms apply
These terms apply to:
our website at www.life-moments.co.uk
FirstHomeCoach, our own product
any direct contact with us, such as enquiries, demo bookings and newsletter sign-ups
Where different terms apply
We also build and operate digital coaching products for banks, insurers, pension providers and other organisations. You may be using one of these through your bank, your pension provider or your employer.
Those products are provided to you by that organisation, and their terms apply, not these ones. If you are not sure which applies, get in touch and we will point you in the right direction.
The same split applies to privacy. Our Privacy Policy at www.life-moments.co.uk/privacy explains when we are responsible for your personal data and when the other organisation is.
3. What FirstHomeCoach is, and what it is not
FirstHomeCoach helps you plan and work towards a life goal, such as buying your first home. It asks you about your circumstances, and gives you information, guidance, tools and next steps based on what you tell us.
We give you guidance and information. We do not give you regulated financial advice. We do not recommend a particular mortgage, product, provider or course of action as being suitable for you, and nothing in the product should be read as a personal recommendation. We are not authorised to advise you on, or to arrange, financial products. Where we introduce you to another organisation, that organisation is responsible for the products, services and advice it provides, and for its own regulatory obligations. The guidance and planning tools described above are not regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Decisions about your money are yours to make, and if you want a recommendation tailored to your circumstances you should speak to a suitably qualified adviser.
The figures we show you
The figures, projections and timelines in the product are estimates. They are produced from the information you give us and from assumptions we have to make, including about interest rates, house prices, tax and costs, and they are not a promise about what will actually happen or what you will be offered by a lender or provider.
Assumptions change, and so do the rules. We update the product as we become aware of changes, but we cannot guarantee that every figure reflects the latest position at the moment you look at it. Please treat what you see as a guide to help you plan, and check anything important before you act on it.
4. Using FirstHomeCoach
Who can use it
You must be at least 16 years old to use our products. They are designed for people in the United Kingdom, and the guidance assumes UK rules apply to you.
Guest profiles and accounts
You do not have to register to use our tools. If you start without registering, we create a guest profile so your answers and results are saved as you go. That profile is reachable from the browser you used, so anyone with access to your device and browser could see it. On a shared or public computer, clear your browser data when you finish.
Creating an account with an email address and password moves your information into that account, so you can pick up where you left off on another device and your information is protected by your password.
Your responsibilities
Please give us accurate information, and keep it up to date - the guidance is only as good as what you tell us. Keep your password to yourself, and tell us promptly if you think someone else has got into your account.
Information about other people
Some tools ask about someone you are planning with, such as a partner's salary. Only give us information about another person if they are happy for you to do so. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle it.
5. AI coaching
FirstHomeCoach includes an AI coaching feature that can give you more personalised guidance by drawing on the information you have provided. You choose whether to switch it on, and you can turn it off at any time in your settings.
AI-generated guidance can be wrong. It may be incomplete, out of date, or confidently mistaken, and it is not reviewed by a person before you see it. Please do not rely on it alone for a decision that matters, and tell us if something it says looks wrong.
Everything in section 3 applies to AI coaching too: it is guidance and information, not regulated financial advice or a personal recommendation.
6. Introductions to other providers
We may introduce you to other organisations, such as mortgage brokers, lenders, conveyancers, surveyors or insurers, where that is a sensible next step for what you are trying to do.
We are paid for some of these introductions. We may receive a fee from the organisation when you are introduced, or when you go on to take out a product or service with them. This never changes what you pay, and it does not affect the guidance we give you.
If you choose to deal with one of those organisations:
you are entering into a separate arrangement with them, on their terms, and we are not a party to it
they are responsible for the service, product and advice they give you, and for their own regulatory obligations
an introduction is not a recommendation or an endorsement, and does not mean that the organisation is the best or cheapest option for you
you are free to go elsewhere, and you should shop around
If something goes wrong with a product or service you took out through an introduction, raise it with that organisation first. If you think we got the introduction itself wrong, please tell us - see section 11.
7. FirstHomeCoach is free, and we may change it
FirstHomeCoach is free to use. There is nothing to pay, and we do not ask you for payment details.
If we ever introduce a charge for something, we will tell you clearly before you use it, and it will be your choice whether to accept it. Nothing you already have will start costing money without you agreeing to it.
We develop the product continuously, so features change, improve and are sometimes withdrawn. We may also suspend or withdraw the product, or part of it, for maintenance or for business reasons. We will give you reasonable notice before withdrawing something you rely on, unless we have to act quickly for legal or security reasons.
We do not promise that the product will always be available or uninterrupted.
8. Acceptable use
Please use our website and products for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.
You must not:
use them in a way that damages them, or interferes with anyone else's use
use them for anything unlawful, or in breach of anyone else's rights
try to gain unauthorised access to any part of them, or to any account that is not yours
copy, scrape, extract or reuse our content or data other than as section 9 allows
introduce viruses or anything else harmful, or attempt to disrupt the service
misrepresent who you are, or use someone else's account
If you break these terms we may suspend or close your access. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why and give you the chance to put it right first.
9. Our content and your licence to use it
Everything on our website and in our products - text, graphics, images, video, software, layout and underlying code - belongs to us or to the people we licensed it from, and is protected by copyright, trade marks, database rights and other intellectual property rights.
We give you permission to use the product and its content for your own personal, non-commercial use: to view it, to use the tools, and to save or print your own results and plans. That permission does not let you republish our content, use it commercially, or build a competing or derivative service from it.
Nothing on our website or in our products gives you any right to use our name, logos or brands.
10. Our responsibility to you, and yours to us
We will provide our products with reasonable care and skill.
We do not limit or exclude our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Subject to that:
we are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, meaning losses that were neither obvious at the time nor something you told us about in advance
we are not responsible for losses caused by events outside our reasonable control
because our products give guidance rather than advice, we are not responsible for the outcome of a financial decision you make, and you remain responsible for your own decisions
we are not responsible for what other organisations do, including anyone we introduce you to, or for third-party websites we link to
we are not liable for business losses, because our products are for personal use. If you use them for any business purpose, we have no liability to you for loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity
We take reasonable care to keep your information safe and available, and our Privacy Policy explains how. If you have a plan or results you would be upset to lose, keep your own copy.
11. If something goes wrong
Please tell us. Email us at team@life-moments.co.uk and we will look into it and come back to you. We would always rather hear about a problem and fix it.
If you are not happy with how we have handled your complaint, you can ask us to look at it again. Our guidance and planning tools are not regulated activities, so they are not covered by the Financial Ombudsman Service. If your complaint is about a product or service you took out with another organisation, that organisation will have its own complaints procedure, and depending on the product you may be able to take your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service - they will tell you whether they can help.
12. Ending your use of the product
You can stop using our products at any time. You can delete a guest profile in the product, and you can close a registered account or ask us to close it for you.
We may suspend or close your access if you break these terms, if we reasonably suspect fraud or misuse, or if we withdraw the product. Except where we have to act immediately, we will tell you first and explain why.
When your account or profile ends, we handle your personal data as set out in our Privacy Policy. Closing an account does not affect anything that happened before it closed.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms - for example, when the product changes, or when the law does.
If a change materially affects your rights or what you can expect from us, we will tell you before it takes effect, by email or by a prominent notice in the product, so you can read it and decide whether to carry on using the product. For minor changes, we will simply publish the updated terms here with a new date.
Continuing to use our products after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
14. General
These terms are between you and us. You cannot transfer your rights under them to anyone else. We may transfer ours, for example if our business is sold, provided your rights are not affected.
No third-party rights. Nobody other than you and us has any right to enforce these terms.
If part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest of them still apply.
Delay is not waiver. If we do not insist immediately that you do something these terms require, that does not stop us from doing so later.
Governing law. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You and we both agree that the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, although if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your own local courts.
The whole agreement. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, are the whole agreement between us about your use of our website and products.
